Brownies want your socks

Chetek third-grade Brownie Troop #89 is conducting a sock drive for soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan as part of their service project requirements.

Pictured left, Cheryl Razim, operations supervisor of Sterling Bank in Chetek, presents a check for $200 to the Brownies to assist with the program. Receiving the check are, left to right, Jessica Breezee, Maisy O'Donnell, Kendra Gonzales, leader Becky Hajek, and Kimmy Hajek. Sterling Bank and First National Bank of Chetek are both allowing the Brownies to place boxes in their offices to gather socks.

yesterday i had one of those bad sock days. the sock on the left had this coarse feel too it and the toe stich was huge and uncomfortable... i could feel it pushing on my toes the whole day. the sock on the right was nice and soft, but had been so stretched out that that it would fit Dikembe Mutombo's foot by now. it constantly bagged up in my shoe.

While Josh is in Los Altos, I have decided to wear a pair of his Gold Toe socks to see what all of the fuss is about. My foot feels well supported, but they are a little too long for me. The yellow part on the toe seems to line up well enough.

I'm wearing gold toes today too.

Alas, they are sold out... cause i was gonna buy and wear these. i was gonna get like 9 pair. i was so on that.
